Sometimes you need to get a broader view of things. For this you will need a wide angle lens. DonÂ't worry terms such as  "angle of view" and "elements Lens", just accept that the shorter the focal length (the number in mm that the objective a) the broader front of the stage will appear.

Thus a 50mm lens is a "WIDERA" than a 100mm one. But true wide angle starts approximately 55mm to approximately 20mm (or their digital equivalents).

The wide-angle lenses have three main properties. First, they allow a wide panorama of the stage to come which is great for landscapes where you want to create a sense of openness and scale. Secondly, they have greater depth of field while opening the lens longer. Thirdly, they increase prospect and things disappear in the distance appear important in the front and tapering quickly hanging up in the background.

This makes for great pictures. They are useful not only for landscapes but also can enhance the subjects especially those with strong prospects and lines. You can also feel that you are getting the most intimate with some subjects, because the wide angle you can let it closer than you would with normal lenses.
