canon camera zoom lenses

When shopping for a Digital SLR Camera people often overlook or skimp on the lenses of the camera. Camera Lenses use digital SLR "Eye", the objective determines what and how your camera to see your subject and how this view is transmitted to the smart camera sensor for recording. The way I like to consider the objectives of cameras is also a painter brushes, broad strokes, Stokes average, all purpose brushes and brushes smallest details. There is much to learn about the goals of digital SLR cameras and this article will serve as a basic plan for understanding them. The following sections explain the main types of digital SLR camera, how they work and how to choose.

Focal

In a digital SLR camera the focal length of lens to measure the distance between the lens and image sensor, measured in millimeters. Lenses can be classified into sub-groups as the first macro, wide angle, telephoto normal and zoom lenses. They are also noted in regard to opening aperture or speed would be an example F2.0 50 mm lens or a 80mm lens 1.4F. We will explain later in this article.

Prime Objectives:

Prime lenses are fixed focal length lenses like a 50mm 1.4f lens. To zoom with these types of lenses you must use your feet and move closer or away from the subject. Traditionally, the first lenses are sharper and faster than zooms. If you're on a budget you can pick up pieces amazing use older lenses First off eBay or your local camera store.

Macro-objectives:

Lenses Marco is your detail brushes they allow you to enter personal intimacy with your subject. These types of lenses are used for very large plans on small objects like daisies, coins and food, but not limited to these types of issues. Examples of macro lenses are respectively 50mm and 100mm macros. These lenses are also great for specific types of selective focus photos.

The wide-angle lenses:

The wide-angle lenses are your broad brush stroke, these types of lenses have short focal lengths. The short focal length has the visual effect of "pushing" the subject away from you and showing smaller. The beauty of a wide-angle lens is that you can be relatively close to your subject and get a big haul of background in the scene.

A problem with wide angle lenses is known as convergence, a distortion that makes vertical structures appear to lean toward the center of the frame. One way to check if the wide-angle lenses that interests you is the convergence is to take test photos before buy the lens. With quality Wide Angle lenses as Canon "L" series lenses address this issue of convergence well. Examples of wide angle lenses are 15MM, 17mm, 24mm and 28mm lenses.

Normal Objectives:

Normal lenses try to mimic how the human eye collects and goals are among the most versatile you can use. These are all my brushes purposes, and fall somewhere between wide angle and telephoto lenses. If you just buy a lens to try and buy faster normal lens, you can like a 50mm 1.4f lens. Some examples of normal lenses are 35mm, 50mm, 65mm and some consider a lens of a 80mm normal.

Telephoto Lenses:

Lenses with a maximum length Length 100 mm and above are called telephoto lenses. A long focal length seems to bring the subject closer to you and increases the size of the subject in the frame. Telephoto lenses also provide a look your topics graphics and flatten your subject. These lenses are my brushes short stroke.

Zooms:

Zoom lenses are special because they can be very versatile. These types of lenses vary in their focal lengths and are available in many large-angle, telephoto and wide angle to telephoto. In my bag I carry a 17mm to 35mm wide brush my wide-angle 24mm to 70mm using my brush, and one of my 80mm to 200mm short brush. With these three lenses I get a board wide focal length for each situation. All my zooms are at least over the range f2.8 lens, which means that my diaphragm can remain constant while I'm zooming in and out. These types of lenses are very expensive but so get what you pay for. When you shop Zoom to check out the f-stop rating range. An example is a 24mm to 300mm f3.5-f5.6 lens meaning the lowest f-stop, you can shoot is in the range of 24mm lenses and when you zoom to 200mm the lowest you can go is f5.6. Zoom lenses can give you the flexibility and versatility in one lens. When purchasing a zoom lens try to find one that is made of glass and is the fastest you can afford, you will not regret it.

Understanding what these different lens groups may be the desire to help you make better decisions on what lenses to buy and what to put in your camera bag.

A unique variable speed rocker control allows user to maintain the slowest crawl or gradually ramp up speed and then decrease speed gradually all in one smooth motion! Because your thumb never leaves the speed control you have quick response time and smooth actions to zoom in, zoom out, zoom faster or zoom slower. Simply push to the right to zoom in (telephoto) and push to left side to zoom out (wide). No shaking the camera or time lost fumbling to find the right button to zoom in or zoom out. A low profile record button ( R ) avoids accidental activation. And finally, the Wake up from standby button ( ON ) Your camera manufacturer wisely created this safety feature to protect your camera. VariZoom controls respects this feature and utilizes it to the video graphers greatest advantage. The purpose of this critical safety feature is to prevent damage to your cameras tape heads and the tape itself. When a camera is in pause mode the tape is still engaged with the spinning recording heads of the camera. Because the tape is not moving when in pause mode the heads will be spinning in place on the tape. The standby safety mode activates the tape transport to disengage the tape from the recording heads. This of course eliminates wear and tear on your camera and your tape. When National Geographic uses our VariZoom's on their wildlife shoots, they sometimes wait for hours with the camera in standby mode. When they get ready to shoot again they press the wake up from stand-by button and then the tape re-engages the recording heads and remains in pause until the record button is pushed.
