camera shutter speed chart

If a camera has a shutter speed of say 1 / 4000 number of photos the second is that, ya know? you should know:)?
I do not google it if you just tell me or show me a table with info, it would swell thank you very much in advance:) The camera i have is the Canon Rebel XS or 1000D, and im talkin optimal settings, as I know in his 4000 theory of a second but obviously he can not do that
1 / 4000 has absolutely nothing to do with how many shots you can take a second. This figure is the maximum shutter speed, which is a measure of how long the sensor is exposed to light. The measure that you want is the rate of bursting. The Canon Rebel XS can shoot up 3 pictures per second in JPEG mode and 1.5 shots per second in RAW mode.
