Spring is a wonderful time of year. The weather begins to warm and we get an extra hour of daylight to enjoy some outdoor activities. Everything is coming alive … trees begin to bloom, the flowers begin to bloom, little ducks swimming on the lake.

One of the most amazing performances you will ever experience in Washington, DC, in spring. The spring is known as the National Cherry Blossom Festival Weather. This is the time of year where over 3,700 cherry trees around the Tidal Basin bursting to bloom. Located near the Jefferson Memorial East Potomac Park and the Washington Monument grounds, where they reach their peak, they are truly spectacular. For several weeks the pool is surrounded by huge, soft, pink and white clouds.

This year, the flowering date for peak flowering Yoshino cherry trees around the Tidal Basin is scheduled for March 27 to 3 April. There are many festivals to enjoy during the spring in DC, but the best part of all is to photograph the event. Early morning is the perfect time to get better pictures than you will ever see these trees phenomenal. There are slightly more impressive than to see the Jefferson Memorial framed by the beautiful flowers and delicate cherry.

Head To prepare your camera case loaded with a much needed stand. Arriving before sunrise, so you'll be set up as the sun rises. The shots Sunrise Monument and flowers is priceless. The tripod is critical for longer exposures. Other time, ideal for shooting flowers, and get totally different effects are as the sun sets or the moon rises. Again, use your tripod to keep your camera completely still. In traversing the area, you can find many beautiful and unique locations from which to photograph cherry blossoms.

When you choose your camera case, consider using your backpack since you'll do much walking. If you're shooting, take plenty. If you use a digital camera, make sure you have enough memory cards with free space. A zoom and wide angle lens is also useful for accessories to photograph these magnificent places. When shooting, take into account the fact that many flowers are white or pale pink, and if shooting Jefferson Memorial, it is very close to white. This can fool your light meter, so you May want to use the exposure compensation manually.

The images and memories that you will get rid of this trip one you'll want to know at least once. The images will be in your memory forever and the pictures will be yours to share forever.
