Help! I have sand in my camera!?

Right then my mother bought me my camera for my birthday because we were outside Australia for a holiday and she wanted to take pictures! We all know that the beach is one of the main attractions of Australia, and so naturally my camera was a passenger in my bag. I just loaded it and when I clicked on this one went wrong. As zoomy thing left he gave a squeal, as she had sand in it. Then, the objective was not very concentrated. Then, the bottom half the lens cover is stuck and I can not reach or see. Help! I feel really bad because it's so new and it was so expensive!
