I have a Canon A85 digital camera in need of repair. Is it worth repairing?

The people said the aircraft basic price "to even think about fixing, it would be $ 170. They also said that the unit is worth about $ 100 (it was purchased 2004). It takes pictures blurred and the lens cover does not close. What should I do with a digital camera that I hate to break away? So, I have never been lucky with guns. Any suggestions on brands and what to do with fixing a digital camera?

Most (if not all) points and shoot cameras are very fragile. Unless you treat them like an egg, they do not last too long. I do not mean that you have abandoned, but they must be in a padded case, and not in a backpack or purse so it is not struck and tossed. There is better to just get rid of it (note the battery and memory card can be reused). So, try to get another can use these things.
