Does anyone know any good Canon or Sony cameras that are thin and have a good optical zoom?

Looking for a decent price (max. 220 $) Or a Canon camera Slim Sony. Atleast 6x optical zoom. Not too fragile. (It is at risk of dropping a lot). Also, must have a quality video very good! Thank you very much!

I know this is not one of the brands that you asked, but I was recently looking into a camera with the same criteria, and I found myself with a Panasonic Lumix ZS3. I am very happy with my decision. It is a 10 megapixel camera with optical zoom 12x Full HD 1080p video recording, and is very robust. If you are set on one of these two brands, the SX200 IS from Canon is a bit more expensive, but very similar camera. It features a 12 megapixel sensor, 10x optical zoom and 720p HD video recording.
