Scanner and Camera Wizard in Windows XP has stopped working, please help?

I used my camera Assistant / Scanner for Windows XP, but now it will not load my pictures of the chip, can someone help me solve this problem? when I put the chip in my computer tower to create a new folder or try to send my pictures it says the system can not read card or picture on it,,,, how can I solve this problem? please help

If you are sure that the card is good then Theard drive itself may be defective, if it is a USB drive then try reloading the drivers that accompanies it, if it is built in a check cards, cables with the card inside the PC.
