Nikon D40X help please?.
I fell into a flooded creek with my camera bag 24hrs ago. I went directly into a maximum my neck and the bag I held above my head in a split second. It does, however, less. I held the camera and 2nd goal in my hand until I came home, opened the compartment, the components and removing the lens. I think it may have only been in contact with droplets, the strap Not just a little wet wet, wet & it was raining so hard to say. He is now in the middle drier than I have. OK so I lit this morning and have an error message. In the viewfinder: FEE (flashing) on the screen: Lock lens opening at least the most important (f / numbers. G-type lenses are not equipped with an aperture ring. I kind of lenses I exchanged G. lenses, even mistake. He knows where the goal is withdrawn. I transferred from a camera to the computer inside the card, all fuctioned well. Then picture Ace, what you think. thank you.
I'm glad you were not injured or worse of falling into the creek. Unfortunately there Wet your camera is not covered by warranty. Remove the batteries and try to put the camera in a large Ziploc bag with a bowl of uncooked rice. Do the same with your lenses. Let rest a few days. If you can smell the wet rice get the replacement – it will also begin to swell with moisture. When you you feel the dry rice after another 24 hours, try to install the batteries and turn the lens and camera. If you still get an error message you have to send off for repairs. Hopefully it will not be too expensive.
